Fall 2026: Growing Together and Building Confidence
Welcome to the Fall 2026 semester! We are excited to share our 90-day plan, which focuses on providing targeted support to every student and helping them build confidence in their own abilities.
Our Main Priorities This Fall
This semester, we are focusing on a few key areas to ensure every student feels supported and successful:
- Supporting Transition Years: We are providing extra guidance for students moving into new, challenging grade levels, such as our 3rd and 6th graders.
- Targeted Support: We are strengthening our systems to provide extra, focused help for students who need it most.
- Building Confidence: We are actively working to improve our students' persistence and belief in their own abilities (self-efficacy).
- Improving Curriculum: We are continuing to refine our writing checkpoints and the way we teach our Mobius math curriculum to better serve our classrooms.
Subject-Specific Goals & Strategies
Reading & Writing (ELA)
- Our Goal: By December, we expect at least 85% of our students to show measurable growth in their writing skills after receiving helpful feedback and revising their work.
- Our Strategy: We noticed that nonfiction reading can be challenging, especially for students transitioning into new grade bands, which can sometimes impact their confidence. To support them, every teacher will be creating and teaching engaging new fiction and nonfiction writing units.
➗Mathematics
- Our Goal: By December, our goal is for 85% of students to successfully pass their first four math unit tests, whether on their first try or through a dedicated retake.
- Our Strategy: We recognized a need for more targeted, in-class math interventions to help students overcome hurdles. To address this, our math teachers are implementing customized teaching strategies to support different goal groups, ensuring every student has the scaffolding they need to succeed.
